I'm gonna start a new thread and maybe someone will post on it daily... I'll try my best to contribute... well last night i had Chicken strips and french fries, with some homemade cheese biscuits... tonight i have prepared a big pot of homemade vegetable beef soup... that should last me 2 or 3 days?

Yesterday I finished up the last of a big of of cabbage, potatoes, carrots and keilbasa that I had made and froze.

Then I made a small pot of ham soup with potatoes and vegetables, and added a little sour cream, at the end.

That will last me a day or two.

Also made some pumpkin scones.

Hey, Alfee!! Smile

I had a blue heeler for all her life...thirteen years. I loved her so much! Took her to the vet at the first of the month...she wasn't really eating. Her kidneys were failing. We did everything we could for her, but she didn't make it. Some AA friends and I buried her in my yard on 11/8. I can see her little grave from my window.

Wasn't going to get another dog, but that lasted for me for 12 days. I missed Little Bit so much...I felt getting another pup might help...not replace Bitsy, but give me another direction.

I named her Gracie, for grace. It suits her.

Heelers are REALLY smart! Compact...strong...bundles of energy.

I made chicken and rice a day ago...it had a tomato based sauce with spices...made enough to eat for a couple of days.

Got the turkey out of the freezer, yesterday, and put it in the fridge to thaw. Going to have friends over, for turkey day.

Loved the meditation for today. It helps me so much!

Sending a hug, and wishing you the best today, Alfee.

Sorry to hear about bitsy... i wet back and read yesterdays meditation after reading what you wrote... it was really good... i had already read it, but just kinda read the words, not the meaning behind it... you know how we do sometimes when we're in too much of a hurry... anyways, i've already started my turkey and dressing feast... got a big to-go plate at a local mom and pop restaurant here called "The Stockyard Cafe" ... yep, you guessed it, it's located beside the stock-barn where they auction cows and horses once a month.

LOL...well, she qualifies!!! Smile

Got her in the meeting and she started to whine a little. The folks there were going, "Aw!!! What's wrong??"

I told them, "I think she's trying to say, 'Is this an open meeting? can I be here?'"

When we all got ready to leave, everyone came by and gave her a kiss on the top of her head, which really touched my heart.

So much to be grateful for!

Ok..yesterday made turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish, gravy (of course!), some green beans and mushrooms with an Asian sauce, and had pumpkin pie and whipped cream for dessert!

Leftovers, here I come!! Smile

Sending a hug!!

Sam

That chicken and rice sounds very good... I thawed out a pork roast this evening, and peeled some small red potatoes... put those in a 9x13 pan with some baby carrots, one whole onion and slices of green pepper soaked in a can of cream of mushroom soup... baked the whole thing at 375 for about 1 1/2 hours... it was so good!!!!

It's been raining here for the past 3 days, and it's expecting to turn to snow tonight... i'm not ready for cold weather!!! I do believe i'll have roast beef tonight... i like to eat it in an open type sandwich... pour the shredded roast beef and gravy over a piece of loaf bread, and have it with mashed potatoes and some type of beans, or maybe green peas?

Oh, Alfee, that sounds wonderful!!

Want to use what little turkey that is left (just about perfect amount), and try making some turkey enchiladas.

Have a recipe I use for sauce that is a cross between regular and mole...closer to mole.

Love enchiladas!!

No rain, here, but is colder...enjoying stuff that I can use the oven with and that warms me up!

Yum!! Just saw this!

Yesterday made quiche...kind of fancy for me, but was fun...a salad, and a home made tomato vinaigrette that I haven't made in years.

yes i did... made it the quick easy way, i like easy! some people use homemade bread dough and roll it all up like a stuffed cresent roll or ham roll... i just take a can of bisquits, wad them all together and roll it out, cut it in half and use half for the top and half for the bottom, fill it with whatever, and bake it like a big P'Zone... stuffed mine with ground sausage, italian sausage (i love sausage), shredded pepper jack cheese, tomato sauce, diced onions and banana peppers... it was soooo good!

Haven't had deer in a while...elk is similar, to me...seems a tiny bit less gamey.

Been eating healthy stuff like apples and peanut butter, broccoli, yogurt...

Haven't done much cooking, lately.

Big hug!!
